A melt-processable modified copolymer of ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene. Engineered with an intermediate flow rate to deliver optimal processing speeds across extrusion, injection, and transfer molding.

Everflon™ ETFE 4010 balances mechanical toughness, broad thermal capability, and efficient melt processing speeds for diversified industrial applications.
Nominal MFR of 7 g/10min enables higher throughput in extrusion, complex injection molding, and thin-wall component production.
Inert to almost all industrial chemicals, strong acids, bases, and solvents. Outstanding weather resistance and zero hydrolytic degradation.
Continuous reliability up to 150 °C (302 °F) with excellent Izod impact strength (No Break) and cut-through resistance maintained across cryogenic ranges.
Low dielectric constant (2.5–2.6) and high dielectric strength (70 kV/mm) provide exceptional electrical insulation for connectors and wiring.

Barrel & Melt Temperatures: Residence heating up to approximately 345 °C (650 °F). Long L/D barrels recommended.
Tool Metallurgy: Corrosion-resistant alloys (e.g., Hastelloy, Inconel) required in contact with molten resin.
Viscosity Behavior: Melt viscosity decreases with shear rate, permitting narrow die pressure extrusion.
Machine Selection: Reciprocating screw injection machines preferred for uniform plastification.
