Get to Know Everflon+™ ETFE Color Concentrate

Everflon+™ ETFE color masterbatch is a pelletized concentrate in which pigments, dispersants and optional performance additives are uniformly dispersed into an ETFE carrier resin. Because ETFE's intrinsic properties (clarity, stress-crack resistance and thermal stability) are sensitive to contaminants, successful coloration and modification demand careful selection of carrier resin, pigment chemistry, pigment loading and dispersion technique. Our ETFE color masterbatches are developed to meet those constraints and to deliver stable, processable concentrates for extrusion, molding and film applications.

The Challenge of Coloring ETFE

Pigments behave like foreign particles in fluoropolymers. In ETFE they can lower stress-crack resistance (SCR) and thermal stability — potentially causing melt fracture, cracking or surface burns during processing or in service. To avoid these risks, we focus on:

Choosing pigments compatible with ETFE's thermal window;

Minimizing pigment particle size and using high-quality dispersants;

matching carrier MFR to the customer's ETFE resin, and

delivering ultra-fine, uniform dispersion to prevent local weak points.
