Get to Know Cathay™ PFA Fluoropolymer Films
Cathay™ PFA films are highly chemically inert and solvent resistant; have low permeability to liquids, gases, moisture, and organic vapors; and exhibit very good dielectric properties, high continuous service temperature, favorable antistick and low frictional properties, as well as good weathering and optical properties. Additional features of PFA films are superior creep resistance at high temperatures, excellent low-temperature toughness, and exceptional flame resistance.
These films offer the highest continuous use temperature of 260°C (500°F) of any melt-processable fluoropolymer film type. They offer many of the performance properties of PTFE films in a clear, transparent form.
Typical applications of Cathay™ PFA films are in chemical processing, wire and cable, electronics, mold release in processing composites, circuit board laminates, chemical pumps, tank linings, shrink roll covers, and rupture discs and gaskets.

PFA S Grade
TCI's PFA Premium Grade (S) films are manufactured from 100% virgin premium Everflon grade PFA resin with MFI range of 1.5-2.5. It is the grade of choice for dielectric applications, and/or where visual perfection
• Manufactured out of 100% virgin premium grade Everflon FEP resinwith MFI range of 5-10
• Best suited for applications where high dielectricperformance is required, such as PCB laminates and wire &cable applications
• Grade of choice for protective, decorative, see-through andother applications where visual appearance and clarity areimportant
• Meets ASTM D3368 specification for Type I FEP film
PFA W Grade(Weldig)
PFA Welding Grade (W) films offer the same physical, mechanical, and thermal properties of PFA PG films at a 15-20% cost savings. This makes PFA W films the perfect economical solution for heat sealing, welding, and other melt adhesive applications without high aesthetic requirements.
