01

Look beyond the high-flow label

Everflon PFA 420 is positioned as a high-flow PFA resin. That category can help identify a candidate for processing requirements where flow is important. It does not promise faster production, flawless filling or a particular wall thickness. The numerical MFR should come from the current approved grade sheet with its stated method and conditions.

02

Let the geometry guide the questions

For molding, identify long flow paths, fine details, gates and areas where dimensions are critical. For extrusion, describe the section, tooling and output requirements. These inputs help determine what needs to be evaluated during processing. A visually acceptable part is only one result; surface quality, dimensions and relevant mechanical or electrical tests still need to meet the project criteria.

03

Measure before making productivity claims

Set a documented baseline and use comparable trial conditions when assessing processing performance. Record yield, part quality and any changes to tooling or settings. A resin flow label cannot establish a cycle-time reduction or defect rate. Discuss your geometry and process with Everflon to define a PFA 420 evaluation supported by the appropriate documentation.

Frequently asked questions

Can a resin data sheet confirm finished-part suitability?

A technical data sheet supports initial selection. It does not establish a pressure rating, service life or approval for a finished component. Evaluate the processed part under representative conditions.

What information should I send to Everflon?

Share the application, manufacturing process, part drawing or dimensions, operating conditions and required documentation. This helps define an appropriate grade evaluation and sample plan.

Use the current grade-specific technical data sheet and safety data sheet. Numerical properties, processing settings and approvals must match the actual grade and test conditions.
